I™€™ve only owned this fridge for 1 year and 3 months total before it broke, right after the warranty expired. The keypad started glitching and no longer works and it keeps turning on ™€œfreeze boost™€ which is making the freezer temp lower and lower. Also, we use ice daily and it continues to get large clumps of ice that clog the ice maker. Also, a freezer shelf cracked at some point too.Save yourself the headache of owning this fridge/freezer or get an extended warranty if you really want to buy this model.

Went Out 2 Weeks after Purchasing

Don't waste your money. This refrigerator went out 2 weeks after we purchased it. We have called Frigidaire several times asking for a new one, but they are requiring that we go through warranty procedures and had to get a technician to come look at it and wait another 7+ days for a part to come in. Something is causing the fan to ice over (see picture attached after the refrigerator had been off a day and there was still ice present). This has not been convenient for us at all.

Frigidaire Refrigerator ... emergency replacement

Overall I am pleased with the refrigerator I bought in an emergency replacement need situation. I moved into a new build 6 years ago and the refrigerator that was installed was not the greatest and died after almost 6 years. My new Frigidaire is roomier and feels like it is laid out much more efficiently on the inside, I also love the fact that it is fingerprint resistant.

Annoying drawers but overall fine

Overall the fridge has been an improvement over our 10 year old frigidaire. The space, ice making and accessibility are all fine. We are annoyed that the drawers do not open enough to make the contents easily seen and accessed. Only when the door is completely open and an extra step is completed (the drawer has to be lifted to bypass a catch) can the drawer fully open. I also anticipate the plastic shelves will crack over time as they did in our earlier model. The wire baskets of earlier models were more durable.

There seems to be more noises coming from this fridge than our last. Sometimes louder than others. These are possibly just different noises that we™€™re not used to hearing. Love the ice cubes, big win! The freezer is perfect. The 2 bottom drawers are fantastic. The fridge side is also nicely laid out, with plenty of room for everything without the extra sliding shelves.

However, stopped working half hour after installation. Third refrigerator received 11/5/2024. Installed and still working. Although slightly smaller than our previous, 18-year-old Whirlpool refrigerator, this new Frigidaire seems to fit the bill as a replacement. Easier and additional filter replacement was essential to our decision-making. That being said, our new Frigidaire comes with a packet of granules for the crisper drawer, but no specific instructions or available video to show placement. I simply decided to fold it over and shove it into an, as yet, undefined 2-level insert space in the drawer with a slotted cover. ??????

Zac, our service technician touted Frigidaire at the top of his two brand recommendation after pronouncing our twelve year-old S***msung dead. It had actually been a good unit with two ice maker replacements as the only "premortem" issue. He loved the ice makers on Frigidaire over the other brand. We needed a unit TODAY. We found just what we wanted within a few minutes at Lowe's. It was delivered and set up the next day. The ice maker is cool (actually >cool). As far as overall function .. check back with us beyond the extended warranty. We are hopeful of a good report.

I really like my new Fridgedaire (replaced LG that had two failed compressors in 9 years). Extra points for large font on the water dispenser. It's a bit smaller than my last fridge but so organized that all my stuff fits. I had to move the case of sodas up a shelf because it obscures the meat drawer from opening, BUT I didn't have that feature in my old unit and I love it! The door shelves are also a bit smaller (to be expected from counter-depth fridge), but the narrower unit makes my kitchen look larger. So far, it's quiet, ice is good, water is great. Happy! Hoping I can get more life from it than the last one. And hoping my electric bill is lower, since it's an Energy Star unit.
